With good GCSE’s and some laboratory experience, you are looking to develop your interest in a technical career in a business that offers roles with breadth, depth of scope and impact. Key Accountabilities

As a Technical Assistant with AkzoNobel you could find yourself developing new products and technologies, testing and supporting existing technologies, products and processes or building a fundamental understanding of key product attributes. Whatever project you are involved in you will need to plan, conduct and evaluate trials as well as use best practice to design, execute, study and interpret experiments for review. You will also help generate ideas for improvement activities and projects to help us work better. Important will be the ability to maintain the highest safety standards in the lab and follow established procedures.

To succeed, you will possess good GCSE passes, ideally Chemistry and have some relevant experience. You will also have excellent interpersonal and communication skills as well as the ability to prioritise and multitask. Good at building relationships and solving problems, you will enjoy being part of a team and understand the importance of working safely too. Critically you will be keen to develop a technical career.
