Job Purpose

 

The HR Intern will support the Human Resources team with day-to-day administrative and operational tasks across multiple HR functions. This role is designed to provide hands-on experience in recruitment, employee engagement, HR operations, and compliance while developing foundational HR skills in a professional environment.

Key Accountabilities

 

  • Assist with recruitment activities, including job postings, resume screening, interview scheduling, and candidate communication
  • Support onboarding and offboarding processes (documentation, orientation coordination, system updates)
  • Maintain and update employee records and HR databases with accuracy and confidentiality
  • Assist in preparing HR reports, presentations, and documentation
  • Support employee engagement initiatives, training programs, and internal communications
  • Help ensure HR policies and procedures are followed and properly documented
  • Respond to basic employee inquiries and escalate issues as needed
  • Perform general administrative duties such as filing, data entry, and calendar management

Experience

 

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field
  • Basic understanding of HR principles and employment practices
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); HRIS experience is a plus
  • High level of professionalism and confidentiality
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to handle sensitive information responsibly
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to learn and take initiative
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
