Position Summary:

The Technical Sales Representative will contribute to the sales objectives through account management and technical support of sales managers. Along with providing technical knowledge and support for sales teams and customers, as well as manage a portfolio of existing business. This person will lead technical activities that provide sales growth opportunities in multiple segments.

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:

  • Lead film technical initiatives both internally and at the customer levels.  Support sales managers in customer trials and technology preparation during the sales process.
  • Proactively prevents and troubleshoots technical problems at existing customers.
  • Create and maintain training materials for customers and sales force.
  • Deliver training to sales managers in multiple segments, widening the depth of film knowledge to identify and penetrate new opportunities.
  • Support R&D projects in testing and customer feedback.
  • Manage some existing accounts, both commercially and technically.
  • VOC for technical needs in markets served and potential markets.
  • Promotes a positive company image and develops long-term relationships with customers.
  • Complies with all applicable corporate and site policies/procedures regarding personal conduct and HSE standards and acts in accordance with all regulations.


  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, MBA a plus, and/or a combination of experience and education of 6+ years in B2B sales, manufacturing, chemistry/lab, or technical training with a commercial focus
  • Film technical or sales strongly preferred, experience selling B2B coatings or chemicals is a minimum
  • Experience in aerospace, automotive, or other manufacturing at an OEM level
  • Ability to work independently and in groups
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication skills, IE: writing, excel, PP, word, public speaking, one on one negotiations
