Job Purpose

Ensures that the products delivered to the customer meet agreed quality standards.  Will embed and deploy the Site Quality Management system with high priority, maintaining quality certifications.  Will also conduct internal and customer audits to ensure compliance.

Key Accountabilities

  • Effectively plans and controls all Quality Control resources to meet internal and external customer requirements.
  • Manages and plans relevant budgets, proactively managing costs.
  • Assists Quality Assurance Manager in maintaining the Site Quality Management System and ISO9001 certification, along with other business standards.
  • Manages timely root cause investigation and resolution of quality incidents for customers, internal processes, and suppliers, following industry best practices.  May work with cross-functional teams to include Quality Control, Sales, and Technical Business Partners on resolutions.
  • Prepares project reports, sharing results with designated stakeholders.
  • Partners with Research and Development for New Product Introduction procedures and inter-company product transfers.  Will stay up-to-date on leading-edge technologies for quality optimization.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry or Engineering.
  • 5+ years of Quality Management experience in the coatings industry or a chemical manufacturing environment.  Experience in the film coatings industry strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated leadership in Root Cause Corrective Actions, utilizing tools such as Risk Management, 8D, and Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA)
  • Experience with ISO 9001.
  • Prior experience in people leadership roles.

Total Compensation

The compensation package for this position will include a base salary, annual bonus, and employee benefits that are effective the first day of employment.
