Job Purpose

In a team-oriented environment, performs all duties related to the operation of the Finishing Laminator.  This includes operating the machinery, producing material, inspection and verification that the material is produced in conformance to specification requirements. Ensures specifications are met daily.

Key Accountabilities

  • Assist with the finishing laminator setup according to specifications and schedules in order to adhere to daily production schedules.
  • Pull/print all instructions on a job order including specifications.
  • Ensure that the machine is properly and adequately supplied with approved materials.
  • Ensure that all finished products are properly labeled, packaged, and delivered to its specified designation. 
  • Operate all essential warehouse equipment to include powered forklift truck, wrapping machines, assist with operating the finishing laminator in a safe manner while keeping work areas clean and orderly in a safe manner.
  • Develop a working knowledge with the inventory control systems.
  • Support the standards and values of AkzoNobel, to include a thorough understanding of the quality system, and maintain a safe working environment and personal safety record by adhering to sound safety practices.

Job Requirements

  • 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience operating a forklift preferred.
  • Ability to read a tape measure accurately, as small as millimeters and perform calculations such as adding and subtracting for mathematical calculations for accurate production goals.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with peers and other departmental staff.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Work Schedule

This position will work a rotating schedule based on business needs.  Will work first shift during orientation and then transition to a weekly rotating schedule as listed below.

 

  • First shift:  Monday - Friday, 7:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. 

 

  • Second shift:  Monday - Friday, 3:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m. 

 

  • Third shift: Monday - Friday, 11:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m. 

Total Compensation

The hourly rate for these skills is $20.00 per hour. This position is bonus eligible. This is the rate that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This salary range may also be modified in the future.
