Job Purpose

Manage the daily Human Resources functions for a single manufacturing site including locally focused recruitment efforts. Will support business strategies and the delivery of operational Human Resources activities aligned to the business or functional agenda. Assist leaders in making decisions and with Business Transformation Programs by providing quality Human Resources advice and guidance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Human Resources Operations
    • Provide day to day support to Supervisors and Managers to facilitate planning and decision making in areas such as recruitment, employee development, employee relations and engagement.
    • Work with the local leadership team with day to day employee management including individual performance issues and absence management.
    • Work with managers to improve employee engagement via feedback tools through surveys, health/wellness and diversity/inclusion initiatives. 
    • Support the Performance and Development Cycle by guiding leaders through setting objectives, conducting check-ins, and the annual performance review/talent calibration processes.
    • Assist with employee related concerns related to leave, pay, record corrections, system access and addiitonal concerns.
    • Monitor, support, analyze and present Site Key Performance Indicators (KPI) metrics using Human Resources analytics.
    • Utilize HRIS system for employee records, transactions, Workforce Planning, position management and Human Resources administration.

  • Recruitment
    • Attract and retain talent by assisting with interviews, hiring, and onboarding for internal and external employees.  Will use applicant tracking system to post, process, screen and offer roles per established procedures to ensure process continuity.
    • Support internal staffing initiatives to support the hiring, promoting and transferring of ternal employees.  Will assist with the development of job specifications, descriptions, and evaluations.
    • Promote the company's reputation and attractiveness as a top employer.

  • Compliance 
    • Safeguard the company by ensuring compliance to legal requirements in all aspects of the Human Resources policy, obtaining advice from outside legal advisors as required.  Will provide the relevant level of input to the internal compliance process.
    • Counsel front-line managers and/or employees in employee relations procedures, including labor disputes. 
    • Participate in local internal and external audits. 

  • Strategic Partner
    • Facilitate strategic short-term and long-term planning with various levels of management.
    • Participate in trainings in the areas of legal, compensation, benefits, talent and development, talent acquisition, contingent workforce vendor, safety, HRIS workforce systems and HRIS analytics.
    • Lead training initiatives for benefits and leadership/employee development.
    • Will perform additional duties to ensure the smooth operation of the Human Resources function.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Human Resources, Business Administration, Training or related field.
  • 2 years' Human Resources generalist experience to include talent screening and sourcing.  Experience may be considered in lieu of educational requirement.
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to partner with various levels of leadership and individual contributors.
  • Effective organizational, analytical, project management, and problem-solving skills with the ability to meet deadlines and drive results.
  • Strong presentation skills with the abiity to deliver information to small and large groups.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% as required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office. Experience using human resources management systems required. 
  • Must be fluent in English.

Rewards and Benefits

The annual salary for these skills is $90,000.00 based upon experience.  This is the salary that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position.  We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted amount.  This salary may also be modified in the future.
