Job Purpose
- Development of an optimal short (13-weeks) and long term (24 months) factory plan to fulfill the market demand while considering the factory capacity and constraints.
- High-level understanding of the trade-offs between service, inventory and costs.
- The role requires a comprehensive understanding of batch sizes, production routes, existing and future capacity plans/constraints (RCCP) at the manufacturing plant, and knowledge of how production capacity can be flexed to meet demand.
- Manage exceptions and other activities related to production planning to ensure SEFI/FINI availability for the master production plan in line with MRP parameters and supplier contracts.
- Ensure master data correctness & proper housekeeping of transactional data.
- Ensure good communication and integration with other planning teams and stakeholders – Demand, manufacturing (scheduling), logistics and customer care. Drive MDI & gate keeping meetings with other departments and report relevant KPIs to measure performance.
- Support projects and process improvement to enhance performance and efficiency of the required planning activities (SLOBs, Inventories and Service across scope site / supply points).
Key Accountabilities
- Manage the MPS/MRP process and resolve exceptions in accordance with IBP rules.
- Master production planning at production plant/ cells level, in line with capacity agreements, for daily/weekly/DC (3 months) horizon.
- Release of production orders in line with agreement with SITE. Regular review of schedule adherence to drive improvement.
- Manage demand exceptions with Production and Supply Planning Manager. Support the Site scheduler with analysis, on need basis, to create visibility.
- To work together with Demand team to understand customer requirements and incorporation in the production plan.
- To Drive gate keeping meetings with the other departments and support with providing relevant KPI’s to measure performance.
- Balance service level (OTIF) and inventory targets (OWC), whilst understanding cost impacts on manufacturing.
- Manage reduction and prevention of slow moving and obsolete stock. Ensure timely rework and scrapping at the site/primary DC.
- Inputs to inventory strategy including safety stock settings on existing, new and phase-out products.
- Ensure master data correctness & proper housekeeping of transactional data.
- Support projects and process improvement to enhance performance and efficiency of the required planning activities.
Experience
- At least 3-year experience in Supply Planning in FMCG, Paint/Coating or Retail
- Experience on Supply Planning in SAP and BI
Education
- University Education (e.g. Engineering, Business Administration, Economics, Supply Chain Management, Logistics or other relevant discipline) with Degree or equivalent qualification
