Job Purpose

This job aims to lead and drive the training agenda for the Decorative Paints Business, which includes building the Dulux Training Academy as a leading training program in decorative paint. The goal is to drive customer conversion toward Dulux, Paintex, and Dulux Professional through their engagement with AN’s brands. This role will develop, plan, and implement professional training and communication programs (product, technical, and color) for front-line sales staff, CS staff, PROs (Painter reps), painters, architects, IDCs, distributors, and their staff, and retailers. Additionally, it will train and work closely with internal sales, project, and support teams to develop their capability in product knowledge, technical knowledge, application, consulting skills, color specification, and soft skills so they can effectively play the role of a consultant from an end-to-end perspective.

Key Activities

 

  • Conducted Training Needs Analysis for internal and external audiences, including sales teams, support teams, painters, retailers, and architects, to develop a need-based training platform. Gain insights into AN and competitor products and consumer and customer behaviors towards brand and color choices to identify opportunities for engagement and loyalty building. Develop, implement, and drive the Deco Capability Agenda, focusing on content development, training, and tracking.
  • Conduct training on product, application, and color for Sales, Spec Reps, and supporting teams. Develop knowledge assessment questionnaires and an annual master technical/product training plan for these teams. Implement and evaluate the training plan, and coordinate with relevant managers for field coaching and with BM/RD&I for continuous updates on technical data.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive product training plan for influencers (Painters, Retailers, Architects, IDs), leading all training preparations and execution. This includes training and communication for new product launches, loyalty programs, and sustainability initiatives. Collaborate with departments like RDI, Sales, Technical, CS, Brand Marketing, and Trade Marketing to create a master training program covering product application, technical issues, color advice, and health and well-being. Additionally, develop online training modules with e-assessments and certification verification for special customers, followed by post-training evaluations.
  • Prepare efficient training materials, develop and execute the Dulux Training Academy library, and conduct site visits for application support.
  • Manage assigned training budget 
  • Developing training content and context that are appealing to external & internal participants
  • Maintain the momentum of training output and ensure participants apply their learning

  • Minimum 5-9 years of experience in Technical Training (Paints & Coatings)

Education

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree required
