Job Purpose

  • Ensure shipment compliance with regulatory and trade requirements.
  • Manage licenses and permits required for shipments.
  • Ensure harmonized codes–based compliance for imports/exports.
  • Prepare and manage shipping documentation.
  • Handle clearance documentation for customs and regulatory authorities.
  • Manage bank documentation and negotiation for Pakistan.
  • Coordinate with freight forwarders and customs brokers.
  • Ensure space booking and timely delivery of shipments.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders including Planning, Procurement, Commercial, and Finance.
  • Resolve shipment delays and related challenges.
  • Coordinate with vessels for different schedules and routes.
  • Address customs queries and regulatory requirements.
  • Track bilateral and multilateral Free Trade Agreements (FTAs).
  • Leverage tariff benefits under applicable FTAs.
  • Prepare MIS and reports for management and stakeholders.
  • Monitor Demurrage & Detention (D&D) and prepare analysis reports.
  • Provide timely information to stakeholders regarding shipment status.
  • Update internal stakeholders on external affairs and trade updates.
  • Expedite freight processes to ensure customer satisfaction.

Key Accountabilities

  • Responsible for Import & Export Clearance Pakistan & Sri Lanka.
  • Timely Duty payment request to avoid D&D and delay in clearance in shipments for Pakistan, Sri Lanka.
  • Developing and communicating MIS and shipment tracker to stakeholders for shipment visibility Pakistan, Sri Lanka.
  • LSP's KPI and performance review and KPI discussion monthly and responsible for LSP's payments for Pakistan, Sri Lanka.
  • Responsible for vendor management (LSP's for Pakistan, Sri Lanka.
  • Managing & Responsible control tower requirements for Pakistan and Sri Lanka.
  • Responsible for vendor management (LSP's for Pakistan, Sri Lanka.
  • Responsible for Trade compliance adherence for Pakistan and Sri Lanka.
  • Monthly & Weekly Review & Discussion with country planning and procurement team Pakistan and Sri Lanka.
  • Responsible for on timely clearance and delivery material at site for Pakistan and Sri Lanka.
  • Supplier onboarding at control tower platform for Pakistan and Sri Lanka.
  • Control tower performance KPI review and discussion monthly.
  • Preparing Flat file for Pakistan and Sri Lanka to integrate shipment data in control tower system.
  • Managing Export movement Sri Lanka and also doing E-commit for respective site export transaction in control tower system.
  • Supporting other countries on special projects like Vietnam Chemical license, D&D tracking, Thailand LSP unification etc.

Experience

  • Proven experience in trade compliance across multiple countries and regions.
  • Exposure to regional/global operations with the ability to influence and impact stakeholders.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong stakeholder management and coordination skills across functions and geographies.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to drive initiatives independently.
  • Proficiency in digital applications and tools related to trade, logistics, and reporting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective cross-functional collaboration.
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage priorities, and deliver within tight deadlines.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, International Trade, Business Administration, or a related field.
