Job Purpose

Position holder manages a team who develops and looks after specific/assigned segment of the OEM market in the defined region. Responsible to generate revenue through generating budgeted sales of designated customers/segments. Extend technical services and support to their customers.

2. Operational Excellence

  • Assist in business maintenance of the existing customers, sustainability and explore new customers for business growth & market leadership
  • Develop and train team members to deliver business results in line with objectives. Groom them to handle future job openings
  • Assist Country Manager and R&D in New Product Designing
  • Making effective communication within & outside the company to complete the operational activities & achieve sales targets smoothly
  • Maintain operational standards in line with defined parameters
  • Ensure smooth supplies through accurate roling forecasting, sales forecast and other operational parameters with special focus on OWC
  • Manage inventory or stock at minimum standard level to optimize the company’s working capital
  • Discuss technical and sales issues with customer for improvement and gain customer satisfaction as much as possible
  • Abide by Company COC without any tolerance


3.   People Management

  • Responsible to set a challenging targets with greater accountability for ASM/ SOs/SPs in the respective business segment to achieve business target; work on developing techno commercial abilities of team members and formulate a formal career ladder, with clear & objective skill level metrics to measure progress. Recruit new entrants whenever necessary.


  • Seek support from R&D for issues relating to line servicing, product developments. Support customers in correct and safe usage of Akzo products
  • Price and commercial terms negotiations
  • Changes in delivery schedule in view of changing situations at customer end
  • Market visit plan of the respective team members
  • Production priorities


Qualification:   BBA / MBA / BSc - Chemistry / MSc – Chemistry

Experience:      4-5 years in Sales
