Tax Manager DACH (m/f/d)
Your Responsibilities
- Take responsibility for country tax position of the AkzoNobel legal entities in DACH and ensure that tax filings are compliant with the law
- Stay up to date on tax regulations and provide tax advice to local stakeholders
- Develop efficient solutions and tax strategies for DACH region
- Responsible to optimize tax processes and increase of quality
- Review IFRS tax reporting in close cooperation with accounting team (local and regional accounting team); including providing guidance & training.
- Review and sign-off VAT and withholding tax filings
- Review and coordinating of the corporate income tax return process in conjunction with external service provider and internal accounting and controlling department
- Manage and coordinate tax audits
- Work closely together with the global transfer pricing team to ensure local transfer pricing documentation is in place
- Support global projects to ensure tax implications are properly considered and implemented
Your Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree with major in accounting, finance, tax, law, tax counsellor is a plus
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in in-house tax role or consulting firm
- Solid experience in tax regulations for Germany are mandatory, first experience in tax regulations for Austria and Switzerland would be a plus
- Willingness to learn and to be always up-to-date in respect to change in tax law
- High level of customer orientation
- Strong, effective communication skills
- Analytical, strategic and problem-solving, pragmatic and pro-active attitude
- Open for Change Management
- Proficiency in SAP (or another ERP-System), first experience with HFM would be a plus
- Excellent skills MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint)
- Fluent verbal and written skills in German and English
