Job Purpose
- Creating of the distribution requirement plan to ensure optimized distribution of products from factories and central warehouses towards the different regional/global warehouses to support customer service. Understand market demand and customer needs in order to best divide the production plan and allocate inventory.
- High-level understanding of the trade-offs between service, inventory and costs.
- The role requires a comprehensive understanding of existing and future capacity plans/constraints at the manufacturing plant and distribution network, and knowledge of how production capacity can be flexed to meet demand.
- Manage activities related to distribution planning to secure demand (fcst and orders) in line with the required customer service offer (in reliability, lead-time, MOQ and mode of transport). Ensure availability in line with MRP parameters, replenishment strategy and production/ supplier capabilities.
- Ensure master data correctness & proper housekeeping of transactional data.
- Ensure good communication and integration with other planning teams, manufacturing, logistics, customer care and other stakeholders. Drive MDI meeting & gate keeping meetings with other departments and support with providing relevant KPI’s to measure performance.
- Support projects and process improvement to enhance performance and efficiency of the required planning activities (SLOBs, Inventories and Service across scope site / supply points).
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the supply and replenishments across the whole supply network & review mid term and long term outlook of the supply plan against resources and warehouse capacities.
- Ensure consolidation of independent, dependent and distribution demand at SKU level.
- Requirements inventory setting and DRP process management. Resolve exceptions in accordance with IBP rules.
- Distribution plan full horizon/ weekly/ daily release for Stock Transfer Orders / ICDs depending on the flows.
- Inventory plan volume and value projection and warehouse/ logistics capacity planning.
- Reviews logistics schedule adherence and drive improvement including optimization of truck load management.
- Manage demand exceptions with Demand managers/planner, logistics and Supply Planning Manager.
- Drive gate keeping meetings with the other departments and support with providing relevant KPI’s to measure performance.
- Provide impact analysis when needed to show the impact of decisions or scenarios to the plan. Support on reporting where necessary.
- Balance service level (OTIF) and inventory targets (OWC) at the primary and/or secondary DC’s, while understanding cost impacts on manufacturing.
- Manage reduction and prevention of slow and obsolete stock. Ensure rework and scrapping at the primary and/or secondary DC’s
- Monitor FINI distributed to DCs as contact point to resolve over/under stock position. Execute and support allocation of constraint supply to demand/ create needed visibility through network.
- Good understanding of production and distribution throughput times. Ensure replenishment policies are defined and maintained for all SKUs, considering, shipment restrictions, shipment calendar, etc… including inventory stocking policies, safety stock levels on ERP system.
- Inputs to inventory strategy on existing, new and phase-out products.
- Ensure master data correctness & proper housekeeping of transactional data.
- Support projects and process improvement to enhance performance and efficiency of the required planning activities.

Service – ensure on time and in full targets (Delivery Capability)
Inventory within target levels – both in value and in days
SLOBs – slow moving and obsolete stock in value
Inventory availability throughout the network
Role Requirements
- University Education (e.g. Engineering, Business Administration, Economics, Supply Chain Management, Logistics or other relevant discipline) with Degree or equivalent qualification
- At least 1-year experience in Supply Planning in FMCG, Paint/Coating or Retail
- Experience on Supply Planning in SAP and BI is an advantage
- Focused on results, good problem-solving skills, able to identify and structure issues, run accurate analyses and synthesize recommendations
- Strong desire to challenge and improve status-quo
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, flexibility and able to work under-pressure
- Fluent and able to work in English. Understanding and sensitivity to different cultural behaviours.
