Job Purpose

Purpose of the Job:

  1. Provide the technical assistance and advice on product application refer to product characteristic and applicable standard
  2. Prepare adequate knowledge on the products and align with the customer’s expectation
  3. Supporting on sales team activities.
  4. Initiative and promote the selling of services
  5. Provide services activities and ensure meet to the CES contract

Key Accountabilities

  1. Represent company in technical matters in the face of customer at site/yard.
  2. Utilise the technical knowledge to assess painting application, coating faillure analysis, inspection, testing and provide the required reports.
  3. Provide technical information and advice related to product characteristic and product performance.
  4. Submit global complaint related to quality, safety, delivery and handling the products.
  5. Fully understand safety knowledge and implement the safety behaviour according to Akzonobel values.
  6. Provide the monthly report and other paperwork.

Key Activities

  1. Raise the exception report, if there is a deviation from the specification, procedure and applicable standard at the site
  2. Provide suggestion and advice related to product application
  3. Provide input/suggestion for Interspec provided by sales team
  4. Document review and sign on project inspection sheets if required to confirm completion of a relevant stage.

Experience

  1. Diploma / Bachelor degree in Engineering
  2. Able to communicate in English ; speaking and writing.
  3. Minimum NACE Coating Inspector Program level 1 certification
  4. Computer literate
  5. Communication and selling skills
  6. Minimum 5 years in the coating industry
