Job Purpose

The Filling Operator is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining filling machines to ensure products are filled accurately, safely, and efficiently according to company standards and production targets

Key Accountabilities

  • Operate filling machines and equipment according to standard operating procedures (SOP).
  • Ensure correct product, packaging, and labeling are used before and during production.
  • Set up machines (format change, adjustment, cleaning) prior to production runs.
  • Monitor filling processes to ensure accuracy in volume/weight and minimize waste.
  • Perform routine checks and record production data (output, downtime, defects).
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the work area in line with GMP/5S standards.
  • Identify and troubleshoot minor machine issues; escalate major issues to maintenance team.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and quality.
  • Coordinate with QA/QC for product quality checks

Key Activities

  • Check the safety equipment available on the machine and ensure it is functioning properly before being used for filling / processing activities
  • Check the condition of the machines that will be used for filling / processing activities, making sure all the machines can function properly
  • Report to superiors if discrepancies and unsafe conditions are found in the machine
  • Checking the completeness, quality and quantity of raw materials to be processed or filled in accordance with the batch card
  • Ensure that any raw materials received for processing or filling activities are in accordance with their batch number and order number

Experience

Special Skills / Knowledge;

  • Thorough, diligent and tidy at work
  • Have good communication skills and build strong teamwork
  • Have knowledge of the principles of health, safety and work environment
  • Understand and can operate computers (Windows Word and Excel)

Education

Education and Experience;

    1. Minimum high school / vocational education
    2. Has 1-4 years’ experience in manufacturing
