The purpose of this job is to help ensure countries and functions in the region to implement business strategic projects like Margin Management, Segment / Category level pricing plans and comparative analysis to share insights.  This role utilize the information to deliver incremental revenues and productivity as per agreed roadmap. The role will also co-develop pricing excellence initiatives with global and drive implementation, planning and review with the countries. 

The role uses multiple sets of data (market, insights, pricing, GDP) to deliver the appropriate pricing techniques & insights aka "high velocity business" like airline industry / telecom business that utilize large amount of data from disparate sources to build analytical models

  • Initiates and implements Pricing projects, processes, capabilities, tools and training through specific plans with the BUs within the Global Pricing Excellence program
  • Proactively identifies required competencies, capabilities, processes and training for the BUs and ensures iteration with the Pricing Excellence program
  • Continuously develops the Pricing Excellence capabilities based on new insights
  • Shares experiences and best practices within Pricing-, Marketing- and Sales Excellence and with BUs
  • Engages the BU stakeholders
  • Acts as global champion on at least one of the main Pricing Excellence capabilities and as such be the point of contact for the BUs and Pricing Excellence peers for guidance
  • Deploy category wise, locations wise insights to drive pricing in the region
  • Document all sales and commercial processes, operational updates, and Best Practices within the region and provide regular inputs to countries and functions 
  • Analyze demand, seasonality, customer booking valuation, and other inputs into revenue management system through SMART pricing

Skills and Knowledge 

  • University degree – preferably in Economics, Statistics, Business Administration or similar with 5-7 years of experience
  • Should have the ability to convert Research data and Commercial data into insights and commercial business ideas
  • Superior Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint and Word), ideally with some experience with relational databases/SQL, as well as BI platforms such as SAP BI and visualization/reporting tools such as SAP Lumira; Spotfire; Qlik View etc.
  • Must be a self-starter, highly organized with good project management skills; ability to multi-task effectively with cross functional teams and meet deadlines
  • Clear communication skills (written and verbal communication skills) and strong interpersonal and influencing skills
  • Working experience with various countries and cultures would be a plus
  • Prior Sales/Commercial experience is desirable but not mandatory
  • Experience in predictive analytics techniques like Logistic Regression, Linear Regression, Time Series, etc. will be an advantage
