Job Purpose

The role is directing the group of NPR (Senior) buyers / category managers to ensure that the year objectives are achieved, by continuously developing cost reduction plans and implementing the strategies defined by Global NPR Category Managers.  The role is responsible for developing synergies and working practices between the global and regional NPR Category Management teams, and regional procurement teams, to ensure that the year objectives are achieved; by running in country or cluster of countries sourcing projects and assisting the execution of global and regional category strategies.  The role encompasses strong pro-active contribution into category management executing cost reductions / value improvement programs on full end to end processes, driving change and changing behavior to meet company objectives on a regional / country level.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop strategic relationships with key regional suppliers and engage them in strategic supplier management for value creation and innovation within the region.
  • Identify, develop, and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders to increase engagement (measurable) and develop and deliver a robust procurement initiatives pipeline.
  • Contribute into continuous improvement projects, executing best value and quality improvements plans, decided by NPR Procurement team and departments, challenging existing practices and actively seeking ways to achieve better results, contributing to ensure performance and financial targets are met and corrective action taken when necessary.
  • Oversee tactical sourcing projects and the execution of global or regional category strategies.
  • Promote importance of procurement across the organization and best practices.
  • Pro-actively enable and ensure transparency of spend and drive for an optimization of efficiency (procedures and cost) in collaboration with business functions and related stakeholders.
  • Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of marketplace, benchmarks, and industry best practices.

Job Requirements

  • MSc, MBA or equivalent work experience.
  • 10 years in an international purchasing or commercial role.
  • Fluent in English is mandatory, both written and spoken; any other language is a plus.
  • Extensive people management experience.
  • Procurement accreditations (e.g. CPM/APICS) desirable.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with enterprise procurement systems.
  • Demonstrated skills and experience with high value purchasing and contract negotiations across a diverse range of commodities and service in the Source to Contract process;
  • Not a position for people with only Requisition to Pay experience
  • In-depth knowledge of variety of procurement implementation approaches (e.g. RFX, e-auction)
  • Experience in Continuous Improvement (CI) and Lean Six Sigma is a plus;
  • Project management experience and change management would be advantageous.

Compensation Data

The salary range for these skills is: $150,000.00 - $167,000.00.  This is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position.  We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range.  This salary range may also be modified in the future.
