SALARY:    $114,878-$118,450/yr. 

TRAVEL:    up to 10% domestic travel for vendor site visits required. 

HOURS:    Full Time/40 hours 

  

JOB DUTIES: Participate in project initiation to develop needs or business case and obtain high-level overview of project objectives from project originator. Contribute or lead project planning, refine project charter, create work scope and request for quote/bid documentation, obtain and tabulate cost estimates, develop engineering and execution/construction timelines, and obtain buy-in from stakeholders on project/initiative progression. Responsible for execution, construction and commissioning, coordinating with external resources and internal labor and production schedules. Serve as first point of contact for outside vendors and contractors. Have an in-the-field presence to administer key aspects of execution and commissioning as needed and report back issues or deviations from plan to site stakeholders. Assist with development of maintenance plans/equipment maintenance strategies, spare parts decisions, training, procedure creation, and ensure project is not closed until documentation is complete. Responsible for handoff, ensuring all relevant documentation such as manuals, procedures, drawings, and studies are completed and correctly digitally filed, with copies given to relevant parties for frequent use as needed. Occasionally take ownership past handoff, overseeing day-to-day operation and ensuring project goals continue to be achieved for up to several months. Train team members to take ownership and continue to support development during extended handoff activities. Interface with other functions such as R&D, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Engineering at other sites as it relates to owned projects and initiatives. Provide expertise for onsite operations and maintenance groups related to owned projects and initiatives. 

       

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or related field of study and 5 years of progressive project management experience supporting manufacturing within a paint or chemical factory. 

 

Applicants must have demonstrated experience with each of the following:   
 
1) operation and maintenance of process equipment to include reactors, pressurized and atmospheric tanks, condensers, heat exchangers, evaporators, agitators, and pumps.  
2) safe work permit (PTW), management of change (MOC), and OSHA PSM requirements.  
3) using Power BI and SharePoint.   
4) working with PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) or DCS (Distributed Control System) control.  
5) refining project charters, creating work scopes and RFQ/RFP documentation, obtaining and tabulating cost estimates using bid tabs in Excel, and developing engineering/execution schedules using P6 or MS Project timelines.   
6) developing maintenance plans and equipment maintenance strategies, including spare-parts and criticality decisions.  
7) creating and finalizing project deliverables including operating manuals, standard procedures, technical drawings, and engineering studies.   
8) coordinating external vendors and contractors during execution and construction.  
9) commissioning and start-up of projects and equipment in a manufacturing environment.  
10) in-field supervision of work in a manufacturing setting with required PPE.

The annual salary range for these skills is: $114,878 – $118,450/yr. based upon experience. This is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position.  We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range.  This salary range may also be modified in the future.
