Job Purpose
Leads the maintenance team in establishing and sustaining high reliability of equipment, machinery, facilities, utilities, and maintenance processes. Ensures maintenance is carried out in line with health/safety/environmental (HSE), quality, and other established policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Ensures that predictive (PdM), preventative (PM), and corrective maintenance are completed on time and according to plan. Reviews, prioritizes, and assigns work orders daily. Collaborates closely with other functions and departments for coordination of equipment and manpower.
Drives continuous improvement of the maintenance process through KPI tracking and analysis. Holds maintenance technicians accountable for performance and for 5S standards and improvements in the maintenance shop and job sites.
Owns the site computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) use and functionality. Establishes and implements work task standardization and improves the work issuance and feedback process.
Oversees and works with maintenance technicians and outside contractors to diagnose equipment problems, determine repair needs, and complete repairs and PdM/PM tasks. Ensures all tasks are carried out in line with HSE and security policies and procedures.
Manages, coaches, and develops maintenance personnel. Establishes and executes training and development plans, ensuring that minimum competencies are met and providing guidance for employees. Holds team accountable for delivery of results.
Embeds a continuous improvement culture in all aspects of maintenance, including process safety management (PSM), mechanical integrity (MI), management of change (MOC), spare parts strategies, and 5S principles.
Works closely with other site engineers to execute the mechanical integrity program, predictive maintenance program, implement expense and capital projects, and contribute to the MOC and PSM processes.
Job Requirements
B.S. in an engineering discipline (mechanical, industrial, or chemical preferred)
0-3 years of experience
Experience in a paint or chemical plant (internship or co-op acceptable)
Knowledgeable in the operation and maintenance of process equipment such as reactors, pressurized and atmospheric tanks, condensers, heat exchangers, evaporators, agitators, and pumps (experience with MI codes and standards a plus)
Ability to sit, stand, walk, and climb in a manufacturing environment wearing appropriate PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, steel-toed shoes)
Capability to lead from the floor or office
Strong Microsoft Office skills, ability to learn Power BI and SharePoint.
Basic knowledge of electrical and control systems
Excellent communication skills, verbal and written, across multiple organizational levels
Rewards & Benefits
Base salary range for this role is: $85,000 to $91,000. This is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This salary range may also be modified in the future.
