Position Summary:

The PSRA Specialist I has in-depth knowledge of the relevant regulatory landscape.  They contribute to team deliverables by evaluating and validating data sources, maintaining regulatory compliance and working with the business to support project goals. This position will focus on NAM biocidal regulations and will manage and lead submissions to US and Canada government agencies (EPA and PMRA).

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:

  • Manage regulatory activities to support biocidal compliance for the Akzo NAM business (Marine, Yacht).  Ensure compliance to EPA FIFRA and Canada PMRA for our antifouling registrations.

  • Submit dossiers to EPA and PMRA agencies in a timely and organized fashion.  Represent AkzoNobel in the face of these government agencies.

  • Support EPA-FIFRA data call-ins and PMRA reporting requirements.

  • Maintain organized electronic file system for team visibility and for potential audits.

  • Maintain working knowledge of relevant NAM chemicals regulations and ensure transfer and retention of knowledge.

  • Respond to internal customers and resolve raw material and/or product issues accurately and in a timely fashion.

  • Communicate effectively both internally (other departments/ functions) and externally (Customers, regulators, suppliers, trade associations).

Candidate Qualifications:

  • University Degree (Bachelors) or equivalent in Scientific discipline
  • Experience in Regulatory or RD&I role or other relevant function preferred
  • Ability to collaborate and work cross functionally with all levels in the organization to achieve objectives
  • Able to carry out tasks with minimal supervision and direction
  • High proficiency in Microsoft office applications
