Pricing and Master Data Specialist

Job Purpose

  • Work as part of a small team to ensure that customer master data and pricing records are accurate and in line with business requirements
  • Work closely with COS teams and sales teams in designated region, supporting business driven structural changes to pricing model, and minimizing manual pricing
  • Responsible for the creation of customer facing price lists
  • Responsible to work with sales team to improve margin management
  • Support ongoing projects such as Sealion and customer end to end

Key Responsibilities

  • Recommend pricing strategies that align closely with market trends and identifying new market segments.
  • Apply statistical modeling methods to determine the potential impact of pricing strategies on profitability.
  • Identify ideal pricing structure in SAP to manage account pricing
  • Creation of new customer accounts
  • Maintenance of existing customer records (master data, email functions, outputs)
  • Rebate monthly reporting
  • Filing / Record keeping of customer static and pricing information
  • Creation & maintenance of customer rebate accounts
  • Maintenance of price lists / expiry dates, loading details into SAP
  • Upload of price list onto SAP
  • Review price list increases with sales team to accurately upload correct price lists
  • Comply with AkzoNobel’s HS&E Policies
  • Represent the company in a professional and ethical manner at all times
  • Use reporting and close links with COS teams to pro-actively identify and fill gaps in automatic pricing


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, or Finance
  • 3+ years of relevant experience preferred
  • Advanced excel use (index match, IF formulas, macro)
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data – strong Analytical skills
  • Change management / ability to influence and standardize processes
  • Good networking skills with all stakeholders across a number of internal and external functions
  • Demonstrable experience of ability to work under pressure
  • Attention to detail and accuracy is essential
  • Strong IT literacy, especially in all Microsoft office applications (particularly Excel)
  • Knowledge of SAP preferred
