Job Purpose
The Production Operator provides support to all areas of the facility which include General Labor, Filling, and Paint Operator roles. The Production Operator is held by newly hired employees until they are placed into open positions.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate various transfer pumps and process tanks including their associated valves, lids, etc.
- Operate mixing agitators, Automatic Dosing System (ADS), Intermix Systems, weigh scales, and other processing equipment as required.
- Operate power lift equipment, including fork trucks.
- Label and maintain hazardous waste drums. Must be able to handle 55-gallon drums.
- Fill containers to the prescribed weight or volume.
- Proper housekeeping of work area and process equipment in various locations throughout the plant and outside.
- Perform other duties as required.
- Batch-making experience is a plus.
Job Requirements
- Prior experience working in a high-volume manufacturing facility is preferred but not required.
- Be capable of safely handling chemicals and minimizing hazards by being able to wear all required safety equipment and protective clothing as required by law and/or corporate policy.
- Be able to read and understand written instructions for making batches of products, and material safety data sheets necessary to perform assigned job functions
- Be able to move through various production areas, principally manufacturing areas/floors.
- Be able to lift to fifty (50) pounds.
- Be capable of safely operating lift equipment (including forktrucks)
- Basic Microsoft skills preferred.
- Fluent in English.
Total Compensation
- The hourly range for these skills is $18.25/hr + 3% Annual Bonus plus 3rd Shift Difference $0.50
