Job Purpose

  • Promotes AN’s capabilities (product- and non- product related) to specifiers and influencers to create awareness, preference and demand/leads for AN as supplier for Coatings. 
  • Becomes the go-to person for specifiers when it comes to Protective Coatings
  • Provides input for development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the Commercial product-/marketing strategy.
  • Most importantly, these roles are experts in securing specification position on targeted projects with key customers & their contract chains thus leading to increase in revenues at high Contribution Margins. 

Job Responsibilities

  • Deliver sole (or preferred) specification position on targeted projects as determined in consultation with the global Business Development Director, and to support the regional sales team to secure these projects across the project chain.
  • Works closely with marketing to analyze present and future market trends and customer feedback for market segmentation and planning to aim for further market penetration. 
  • Assists in the implementation of the BU solutions within the area of services. 
  • Identifies and follows up on business opportunities, pinpoints the existing and/or potential problems and arranges for their resolution. 
  • Provides feedback to understand how customers are utilizing our products and how well those products align with competitive products.  Primarily focusing on key accounts. 
  • Inputs demand forecast for key account sales plans. Feed demand forecast to operations for tactical use and marketing for strategic (product planning) use. 
  • Develops, executes, and monitors key performance indicators for the sales team. 
  • Performs continuous market research among the stakeholders in the entire value chain and maintains professional relationships with the industry stakeholders. 
  • Delivers periodical business reviews and actively participates in the development of business growth and sales support plans for the designated customers.
  • Plans, monitors, participates in, and reports on the execution of the sales activities conducted regarding the designated customers. 

Job Requirements

  • 5 plus years of sales experience, preferably in the protective coating and/ or Marine coatings. Experience of indirect selling/specification sales will be beneficial. 
  • For Business Development roles, must bea  Subject Matter Expert, having comprehensive knowledge of one or more protective coatings sub-segments, i.e. 
    • Passive fire protection/insulation
    • Bulk Transportation or stationary Tank Linings
    • Infrastructure/ Concrete Repair 
    • High Temperature Coatings application in refineries & petrochemical plants
    • Corrosion-Resistant Coatings 
  • A clear understanding of indirect value selling, with the ability of selling within a complex contract chain, and can demonstrate experience of relationship selling principles

Total Compensation

  • The salary range for these skills is: $95,000 to $110,000 + a 35% Annual Bonus
