To temporary support our Finance department at our Hilden and Cologne location for 12 month, we are looking for an
Accounting Controller (m/f/d)
Your tasks
- Coordination and oversight of the proper execution of all relevant accounting and finance activities in accordance with IFRS and local GAAP for a defined business unit
- Primary point of contact for internal and external Shared Service Center organizations
- Support and review of accounting entries, including preparation of risk analyses and communication of improvement opportunities
- Identification and resolution of issues, including solution development and escalation to the appropriate stakeholders
- Responsibility for the review and approval of annual financial statements, including coordination and active participation in the preparation process
- Coordination of collaboration with external auditors, tax advisors, and other external stakeholders
- Handling and forwarding of tax audit-related inquiries to the Tax Manager, including alignment and coordination
- Active involvement in projects and continuous improvement initiatives
- Interface function with various departments such as Business Functions, Business Controllers, Supply Chain Controllers, Sales, and Site Management
Your qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field required; a Master's degree is a plus
- Several years of relevant professional experience, ideally in an international company
- In-depth knowledge of IFRS and local GAAP (HGB)
- Excellent analytical skills
- Structured, independent, and responsible work approach
- Strong proactive and effective communication skills
- Flexibility and resilience under pressure
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office
- Good knowledge of SAP (FI) and Hyperion HFM is a plus
- Fluent in both German and English
