Job Purpose

 

Join Our Team as a Reliability Engineer in Wood Coatings!

Are you passionate about driving continuous improvement and ensuring the reliability of manufacturing processes and equipment? We are seeking a talented Reliability Engineer to lead initiatives aimed at optimizing production, quality, safety, and cost targets. As a Reliability Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in establishing robust predictive and preventative maintenance programs, conducting root cause failure analysis, and fostering a culture of reliability excellence.
 

Key Responsibilities

 

Maintenance Program Development:

•  Establish predictive and preventative maintenance programs to ensure equipment reliability and uptime.
•  Review and prioritize maintenance feedback for further investigation or repair, maintaining equipment history for trend analysis.
•  Drive continuous improvement of the reliability process through KPI tracking, root cause failure analysis, and equipment criticality analysis.

 

Leadership and Collaboration:
•  Own the site's maintenance management system and equipment naming convention, coaching the maintenance team on reliability tasks and skills.
•  Work closely with other site engineers to develop a robust mechanical integrity program and collaborate on capital projects related to equipment reliability.
•  Serve as the primary interface for maintenance team on capital projects, contributing to the management of change processes.

Autonomy and Decision Making

 

•  Take ownership of maintenance integrity, predictive and preventative maintenance, failure analysis, equipment maintenance strategy, and bad actor programs with minimal guidance.
•  Influence maintenance supervisors, technicians, and other engineers on reliability activities and requirements.
•  Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to drive maintenance activities and initiatives.

Job Requirements

 

Qualifications:

•  Bachelor's degree in mechanical or industrial engineering preferred, with 3-5 years of chemical or resin plant experience, or 6-10 years of maintenance and reliability experience in lieu of a degree.
•  Knowledgeable in the operation and maintenance of process equipment, with experience implementing maintenance and reliability programs.

 

Skills:
•  Proficiency in  mechanical integrity (MI),predictive (PdM) and preventative (PM) maintenance,root cause failure analysis (RCFA) and failure modes and effects analysis (FMEA) execution, Equipment Maintenance Strategy, and Bad Actor programs.
•  Strong computer skills and ability to learn specialized CMMS software.
•  Basic knowledge of electrical and control systems.

 

Abilities:

•  Ability to work in a manufacturing environment wearing appropriate PPE and perform physical tasks as required.
•  Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact across multiple organizational levels.
 

Compensation/Benefits

 

The salary range for these skills is:  $80,000 to $90,000.  This is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position.  We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range.  This salary range may also be modified in the future.
