Job Purpose
The Color Design Lab Technician supports the color development process by accurately mixing and preparing color samples for formula development, customer applications, and internal testing. This role ensures precise spraying and application of coatings using both automated and manual methods, maintains paint stock for the color lab, and assists with shipping panels to customers. Additionally, the position offers developmental opportunities to advance in wood color development and color approval processes, while collaborating with senior color experts to ensure quality and consistency.

This role ensures precise spraying and application of coatings using both automated and manual methods, maintains paint stock for the color lab, and assists with shipping panels to customers. Additionally, the position offers developmental opportunities to advance in wood color development and color approval processes, while collaborating with senior color experts to ensure quality and consistency.
Job Requirements
- Interacts/supports Color Design Lab Specialists during Mixing & Application if the process is in question (wrong recipe amount, wrong spray program, toner info, hiding issues, right primer selection, etc).
- Very good knowledge of preparation & application of samples following guidelines for all different products that are used within all four wood segments.
- Train and learn how to produce colors on the Maestro Hue.
- Follow 5’s and safety rules. Ensures a safe and clean work environment.
- Participate in continuous improvement of department knowledge and efficiency.
