Job Purpose
Execute daily project tasks and lab work requests following defined standard operating procedures (SOPs). Implement minor adjustments to established product lines to achieve performance or application efficiencies. Will also work with team members to modify existing products, develop new experimental formulations and trail process changes. Will also be responsible for color matching and assisting with root cause analysis for color-related issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, execute and analyze output of practical experiments in alignment with Research and Development project and functional standards.
- Conduct formulation or technical tasks in the laboratory as defined in the departmental research plan. Will analyze the resulting data to form conclusions.
- Maintain project documentation consist with best practices through appropriate reporting systems. Communicate test results to designated stakeholders.
- Represent Research and Development in working with cross-functional teams to include quality control and pilot plants.
- Maintain and promote a safe work environment, complying with safety policies and procedures. Will follow safe work practices for personal and equipment safety, in both the laboratory and in the field. End results are zero or minimum safety incidents and a clean, orderly working environment.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, Engineering or related field.
- Knowledge of color formulation and application testing helpful.
- Effective organizational, project management, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to successfully complete Farnsworth-Munsell color vision assessment.
Rewards and Benefits
The salary range for these skills is $60,000.00 - $67,000.00. This is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This salary range may also be modified in the future.
