Job Purpose
Execute daily project tasks and lab work requests by following project work plans. Will work with defined standard operating procedures (SOPs) making minor adjustments to established product lines to achieve performance or application efficiencies. Will work closely with team members to modify existing products, manufacture new experimental formulations, and implement trial process changes for customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and test formulations from developed standard operating procedures (SOPs). Will analyze the resulting data to form conclusions.
- Follow project work plans, lab work requests (LWR) and general lab work flows.
- Learn and understand customer application methods.
- Maintain project documentation consist with best practices through appropriate reporting systems. Communicate test results to designated stakeholders.
- Represent Research and Development in working with cross-functional teams to include quality control and pilot plants.
- Provide support to sales, marketing and supply chain efforts through reports, presentations, and guidance/ recommendations.
- Conform with all site and laboratory safety requirements and policies including participation in AkzoNobel safety programs to include audits and safety meetings. Must maintain clean and organized work environment and demonstrate safe practices and behaviors.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Laboratory Science or related field.
- 1 year experience in a laboratory work environment.
- Knowledgeable of chemistry/polymers.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledgeable of Microsoft Office.
Rewards and Benefits
The salary range for these skills is $60,000.00 - $66,000.00. This is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This salary range may also be modified in the future. This position is eligible for overtime for any hours worked more than forty (40) in a given work week.
