About the Role:

Are you a detail-oriented professional looking for a rewarding career? We have a great opportunity for a Sales Support Specialist, who can work in either our Henderson office, Western Australia or Port Melbourne, Victoria location on a permanent full-time basis.

 

The Sales Support Specialist is the primary internal contact for our sales team and customers. The position is expected to enhance our company's reputation through effective communication and support.

In this role, your key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Provide day-to-day operational assistance in managing customer requirements. This includes responding to customer inquiries, processing orders, and ensuring timely delivery of products.
  • Act as the primary regional contact for all SAP-related queries, for example, you might assist a new team member in gaining access to SAP or troubleshoot a reporting issue for the sales team.
  • Assist with general administrative tasks and site activities.
  • Actively support various departments (Sales, Marketing, IT, etc.) in continuous process improvement.
  • Manage and update customer information using tools like MDG (Master Data Governance) and CRM systems. 
  • Coordinate and organise events such as seminars, conferences, and exhibitions.
  • Provide accurate sales analysis and sales statistics to the sales organisation. 
  • Generate monthly reports on Health and Safety figures for the Business Unit and submit quarterly APMF (Australian Paint Manufacturers' Federation) information.
  • Assist the Sales Managers and Sales Team with designing and producing presentations. These might include business overviews, customer proposals, and reporting templates, ensuring that all materials are professional and effective.
  • Maintain and update customer price lists in SAP.
  • Assist with supplier agreements, Safety Data Sheets (SDS), and batch certificates for customers. 
  • Liaise directly with suppliers to ensure all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Assist the Accounts Receivable (AR) and sales team with overdue and invoice queries when requested.
  • Support sales optimisation and communication between departments and stakeholders.
  • Assist the Specification team with inbound/outbound specification inquiries, warranty information, and project follow-ups.

What we are looking for:

  • Previous experience in an administrative role, preferably within the coatings or a related industry.
  • Highly developed interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Strong customer focus and ability to interact effectively with colleagues and customers.
  • Familiarity with SAP, including MDG, Pricing modules, and CRM.
  • Ability to manage high-volume workloads, work under pressure with little supervision, and drive for results.
