Job Purpose


The Customer Service Representative is the primary internal contact for our customers. The position is expected to enhance the company’s reputation by providing appropriate advice and communication in a timely effective manner with customers and other personnel within the Marine and Protective Coatings and Yacht businesses including Trade Centre, Sales, Customer Service, Operations, Technical personnel and overseas associates.


  • Supports and assures the Customer Service Team’s highly professional interactions with customers associated with their order processing, complaint registration, general management and information requirements.
  • Provide a Customer Service function for all Business divisions operating from Perth, Henderson, WA as required.
  • Undertake other duties to assist and support the local team as required


Key Accountabilities


To manage order receipt efficiently, prioritizing timely order processing and good customer interactions and relationships.

Supports the order-to-cash process with excellence in order processing.

Registers and processes customer orders in the ERP system received via, electronic mail, phone or through other contact with the customer.

Acts as first level contact with customer for answers to questions and in attempting to resolve complaints.

Obtains adequate customer and product knowledge to find solutions for customer needs (e.g. additional and/or alternative products).

Makes proposals for improvements on work processes.

Completes registering / filing / archiving of customer service-related documentation.

Operate with flexibility and co-operation as part of the Australasian team.

Support and assist the Regional Customer Experience Manager, and other members of the Perth team as required.

Adheres to all applicable corporate as well as site policies/procedures with regard to personal conduct/HS&E standards and acts in compliance with all regulations.

Key Activities


The Customer Service Representative operates through the Regional Customer Experience Manager on issues outside normal routine or on matters which may have a major customer impact.




Relevant administration and Customer Service experience

Working knowledge of SAP Saturn applications

A knowledge of Protective Coatings and / or the Shipping Industry

Familiar with despatch, stock control procedures and documentation

Familiar with painting applications (tinting processes, shade standards, etc)



Minimum Year 10 education
