1. Purpose of the job




The principal objective of the Position Planning is to achieve improvements to the organization’s overall supply chain operation, by ensuring reliable and responsive delivery of finish goods from Site by optimum utilization of production resources.



2. Key responsibilities



Accountabilities & Functional Responsibilities


  1. Leading the production process through optimum planning, ensuring schedule data integrity.
  2. Overall responsible for production planning and scheduling. This involves preparing monthly basis, weekly basis and day-wise and equipment-wise batch generation plan based on availability of raw materials, packaging materials, plant equipments’ capacity/ availability and other required resources, to meet desired level of FG delivery from Site.
  3. Coordination with the respective departments viz purchase (RM/PM) and production execution team, engineering etc for ensuring successful implementation of plan.
  4. Completes MRP/MPS for assigned product groups (related with site) to maintain a smooth level loaded capacity plan in support of the plant production requirements, does rescheduling as required.
  5. Creating, scheduling & releasing Process Orders in SAP for all SKUs & executing them. Rescheduling of process orders.
  6. Establishing, creating and generating reports and performance analyses of KPIs, including MSA, SKU compliance, BCT, OPE and production reports like daily production report (morning news), and monthly production report.
  7. Identify, negotiate, and resolve any demand/supply imbalances working with Central Planning. Review exception messages and manage all schedule change requests.
  8. Maintain accurate due dates in SAP to support Available-to-Promise.
  9. Tracking supply chain reports viz SNS and Depot Efficiency Reports, OTIF report and analyzing the same from the perspective of site s contribution in improving supply chain performance and accordingly making dynamic changes in the site plan.


Key Skills


  • Strong analytical, quantitative, communication and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of Supply Chain concepts (Demand/Supply planning, network, Lean manufacturing etc) with proficiency in SAP ECC PP/MM/QM, MS Excel, Power point.
  • Ability to project possible future outcomes and scenarios based on available data. Shapes strategies and plans to create positive future results in spite of circumstances or activities that may threaten desired goals.
  • Ability to assess, analyze and condense complex data or situations. Ability to evaluate data and information to understand potential flaws or inconsistencies.      
  • Ability to anticipate customer requirements based on a deep understanding of their needs.





3. Level of autonomy



  • All the decision for volume deliver as per plan



4. Job requirements



  • Bachelor of Technology in Chemical / Mechanical / Electrical, Instrumentation Engineering from reputed institutes.

4-5 years of total work experience of which a major part should have been in handling Powder coating manufacturing/production operations independently.
