HR Manager- Egypt

Job Purpose

HR Manager supporting the Egypt Leadership team, people managers and HR function in the execution of and compliance to the HR Service delivery model; primary point of contact between CoEs and the business in Egypt; ensure compliance with global & local HR rules, processes and programs in the country by supporting the rollout of global HR initiatives. the HR manager would need to coordinate and implement the HR agenda in country, and continue educating people managers on the importance of alignment to global policies and model. A role that will be highly involved in challenging resistance and questioning incompliance and act as a company advocate with stakehoders. The scope covers a total of 125 Employees and 1 manufacturing site in Egypt.  The job holder will also be a member of Egypt Leadership team who collectively act like the managing board of the country. 

Key Accountabilities

-    Develop and implement local HR policies and work with CoEs to ensure local implementation and compliance. 
-    Continue implementation of the PS model of SF in Egypt as a non self service country and work towards shifting it to a self service country over the coming year or two. 
-     Ensure all data is being reflected accurately in SF – Act as a first point of contact for any SF support required by line managers until fully shifted to self service model.
-    Training people managers on self service model to achieve highest benefit of SF.
-    Assist staff and line managers in Egypt with their day-to-day queries and coach them on a range of HR issues including performance and development dialog.
-    Supervise payroll process recently outsourced. This includes verification of data, review of payment files, and management of bank approvals. 
-    Implement the global HR agenda in country and be the advocate / champion of all CoEs related processes and initiatives. 
-    Help running the D&I agenda and achieving its country targets in liaison with the Regional D&I committee. 
-    Act as an active member of Egypt Leadership Team, advocating AkzoNobel’s leadership behaviors and directives and achieving higher alignment to global practices.
-    Help managing admin function to provide the highest administrative services to site.
-    Manage a team of 1 HR Advisor and 1 HR Admin. 
-    Provide local assistance on the Organizational Health survey administration and encouraging maximum participation levels though continuous communication and follow through.  
-    Lead the recruitment process for blue collars in Egypt.
-    Assist the Regional Talent Acquisition team in the souring, interviewing, testing, and on-boarding of job candidates in Egypt
-    Be the first point of contact for people managers for all HR related items which would also mean being a labor law specialist for Egypt. 
-    Continue implementing restructuring related actions as a result of different global restructuring projects, insure amicable exit of redundant employees and mitigate legal risk. 
-    Works as a country champion for HR initiatives like employee engagement, wellness, etc. 
-    Conduct exit interviews for voluntary leavers in Egypt and report to the Cluster HR Manager.

Experience

-    3-6 years of working as an HR Manager for multinationals in Egypt.
-    Excellent Arabic & English languages are a must. 
-    Worked in a matrix organization with global stakeholders. 
-    High communication skills and ability to work independently.
-    Team management 
-    Ability to deliver and adapt to constant change. 
-    Ability to challenge and question incompliance and force alignment to global rules. 
-    Good stakeholders management skills
-    A mindset that promotes change and continuous improvement.
-    SuccessFactors experience is a plus.
