About the role
To provide a sound technical service to customers regarding quality and application of paint and ensure all parties understand and agree on the painting requirements as well as contributing to commercial activities in coordination with Sales Team and grow the business in the region.
Key responsibilities
- Advise on paint specification, provide recommendations for preparation and application and conduct inspections to ensure paint is applied in acceptable conditions and according to specification.
- Always be aware about any new products technology developments.
- Assist Sales with introducing of any new products to the customer attention.
- Arrange where necessary assistance and application training for new or high value products to the customer to ensure that International Paint fully considering of customers needs.
- Operate modern IT technologies and company Sales Tools including ERS and Interplan reporting Systems.
- Prepare Technical Coating Reports as per necessity and be capable to operate with such documents during project scope discussions.
- Provide technical advice and information on products as requested.
- Ensure all relevant documentation is available prior to meeting customers and starting projects.
- Complete reports accurately and promptly, and keeping a daily logbook of all site and project details.
Job requirements
- 3 years of experience in a technical service environment.
- Experience in the shipyard or protective coatings industry would be an adventage.
- Ability to pay attention to detail to ensure compliance and quality.
- Ability to make decisions independently and organise own work.
- Strong customer and commercial focus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- IT skills (Outlook/ Word/ Excel).
- Good command of Polish and English.
- Readiness to work outdoors and predominantly in shipyards, sometimes in dirty working conditions.
- Travel may be required time to time.
