R&D Analytical Chemist
£27,200 – £28,900 per annum depending on experience

With a BSc in chemistry and some analytical laboratory experience, you are looking to develop your interest in a technical career in a business that offers roles with breadth, depth of scope and impact. As a Analytical Technologist with AkzoNobel you will be involved in supporting R&D, production and business day to day analytical needs, maintaining and developing analytical methodology, maintenance and calibration of key equipment, development of new analytical techniques and methods. For the analytical requests you are involved in you will need to plan, conduct, interpret and report results.  You will also ensure all results are accurately recorded, make recommendations for next steps and communicate key results to colleagues across the organisation. Important will be the ability to maintain the highest safety standards in the lab and follow established procedures.
To succeed, you will possess a BSc in Chemistry. You will also have some experience of laboratory working, ideally with some experience of analytical equipment and standards. You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills as well as the ability to prioritise and multitask. Good at building relationships and solving problems, you will enjoy being part of a team and understand the importance of working safely too.
