£15,840 per annum plus relocation allowance**

Opportunities

 

We have two 12-month internship opportunities within our business which are geared towards providing you with a challenging experience. Working as part of a successful team on ‘real life’ projects you’ll be mentored by experienced professionals. With their support you will develop your polymer chemistry and team working skills, see how academic theory is applied in a corporate environment and make a real contribution to the success of the business. Day-to-day you will be a part of the Polymer Research team to support the execution of R&D technical projects for the benefit of our Performance Coatings business. This will involve working in a state-of-the-art polymer research laboratory, participating in active projects as well as following standard procedures. Work must be executed in a timely manner, be completed to high accuracy and be written into basic test reports.

 

Requirements

To be considered you must be a high achiever and expecting a minimum 2:1 degree or equivalent* on a course that offers you the option of taking a Year in Industry. Your degree subject area should be relevant, such as Chemistry or Polymer Chemistry (preferential).

 

Good at following procedures and working safely and in accordance with chemical safety standards, you will also need strong PC skills, an eye for detail and be an effective team worker. We’re looking for someone who has ideas and the energy and determination to make them happen; someone who wants to work in an international environment and find solutions to the big challenges facing the world.
