Facilities Operator – Introduction 
If you are interested in laboratory work and have a full UK driving licence this is a great opportunity to develop your interest with a world expert in making coatings. Operating in over 150 countries, AkzoNobel is home to well-known brands, such as the UK’s favourite Dulux paint, Sikkens and Interpon, and has been awarded Top Employer status in the UK & Europe. We are now recruiting a Facilities Operator in Felling to help ensure the R&D laboratory runs smoothly by ensuring our R&D teams have the materials and items they need to carry out their work.

Facilities Operator – The Role
•    Work to understand customer needs.
•    Order, supply & replenish consumables, raw materials & solvents used in the laboratory.
•    Ensure stock is rotated.
•    Supply & replenish spill stations.
•    Dispose of waste.
•    Clean & maintain lab equipment.
•    Provide updates in relation to the status of queries.
•    Help identify opportunities to improve ways of working to improve performance.
•    Work safely & comply with legal & company regulations.

Facilities Operator – About You
•    Willing to learn new skills.
•    Good level of secondary education 
•    Possess fork-lift truck licence.
•    Excellent communication & interpersonal skills.
•    Good at following processes & procedures.
•    Enjoys a collaborative working environment where supporting colleagues is key.
•    Understands the importance of keeping a safe working environment.

•    Full driving licence an advantage.

Experience in FLT operation would be preferable but not essential. Operation of FLT is an important part of the role. The successful applicant will undertake training to acquire the appropriate FLT licence to operate on Felling site.
