Job Purpose
- Plan, execute and manage capital projects and engineering improvement initiatives at the site.
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and according to required quality standards.
- Coordinate effectively with internal stakeholders, contractors, and external partners.
- Support continuous improvement, process optimization, and site engineering excellence.
Key Accountabilities
- Lead CAPEX projects from planning through execution, commissioning, and handover.
- Ensure compliance with HSE requirements, PSM, SAQ, MOC, Enablon, BBS, and applicable engineering standards.
- Manage contractors and third parties to ensure safe and efficient project execution.
- Develop and monitor project budgets, timelines, scope, quality, and resource requirements.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, efficiency, cost optimization, and reliability enhancement.
- Develop business cases and provide engineering input for process and equipment modifications.
- Ensure compliance with applicable local, national, and international regulations and standards.
- Coordinate with production, maintenance, HSE, procurement, and other site stakeholders.
- Manage engineering materials, stores, spares, vendors, and related expenditures.
- Drive continuous improvement in project, construction, and contractor management practices.
Experience
- Minimum 3 years of relevant project engineering experience, preferably in a manufacturing/industrial environment.
- Proven experience in CAPEX/project planning, execution, budgeting, and contractor management.
- Hands-on knowledge of HSE, risk assessment, PTW, MOC, and contractor safety management.
- Working knowledge of engineering standards, construction activities, equipment, electrical/mechanical systems, and technical drawings.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree (BSc) in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering from a recognized university.
- Additional qualifications/certifications in Project Management or Engineering will be an advantage.
