Purpose/Key Objectives of the Job
The specialist of the General Ledger Accounting Team is responsible for delivering timely and accurate
month-end close financials and balance sheet reconciliations, operating across all accounting
activities for the North and South American units, in compliance with applicable regulations and
internal policies. They ensure the faithful representation of the company's results in its financial
statements.
Responsibilities
Ensure compliance with deadlines and the quality of information in Monthly Accounting Closing
Routines: Payroll, Intercompany, Banks, Customers, Suppliers, Provisions, Costs, among others;
• Perform necessary manual accounting entries for activities under your responsibility, ensuring
correct supporting documentation and approval flow;
• Prepare reconciliations and analyses of high-risk balance sheet accounts according to the
frequency and deadlines defined in the internal policy;
• Review accounting flows to ensure proper recording in the books as well as identify and define
documentary controls for reconciliation purposes;
• Participate in periodic Balance Sheet Review meetings with Accounting Controllers and FP&A;
• Attend Internal and External Audits;
• Ensure compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and internal
accounting policies of the company;
• Identify errors and implement continuous process improvements contributing to quality, efficiency,
control, compliance, and adherence to the company's global standards and procedures;
• Act as a reference for the entire team, guiding initiatives and decision-making through a strategic
vision, supporting the team in fulfilling routines as well as aiding in the development of team
performance;
• Collaborate with the Team Lead to support the accounting team in day-to-day activities, internal
trainings, special projects, and application of workflow process improvements;
Job Requirements
Experience / Education
• Degree in Accounting with active CRC
• Postgraduate degree in Finance or related field (desirable
• Experience with SAP is a plus
• Intermediate Advanced English proficiency
• + 5 years of experience in accounting
• Excellent knowledge of IFRS and its application
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office tools
