Job Purpose
The AkzoNobel Emirati Graduate Trainee program is designed to give Emirati graduate trainees the opportunity to rapidly develop within the organization. The graduate program provides the trainees a 1.5 year on-the-job training across diverse assignments in different areas: Sales, Marketing, Customer Services. At the end of the graduate trainee program, based on readiness and performance, job holder will be assigned a final role in discussion with the hiring manager and inline with business needs and recruitment plans.

- Embark on a journey of growth as the trainees undergo an intensive 18 months structured learning curriculum and gain valuable work experience from exciting cross-functional job rotations.

- Opportunity to become a junior technical service representative as the training program progresses, and be able to make a contribution to team’s strategy.
Responsibilities (MPY Specific)
- Understanding our business, who are we, what drives our economic engine, what are we passionate about.
- Gain a meaningful understanding of technical service responsibilities across the MEA region with a specific focus eventually around the technical support function for the oil & gas sector.
- Learn data entry in the technical SharePoint system: where we gather data and reports on the projects market.
- Learn what products do we specify and why? Spend time with our sector champions, gain an understanding on the various products that we market and sell.
- Combine all the knowledge gained to successfully support the technical service department.
- Gain experience on master data management and ERP systems.
Experience
- UAE National with Kholasat al Qaid / Family Book
- Minimum of bachelor’s degree holder, preferably fresh Chemistry graduate, with a max of 1 to 2 years’ experience
- Effective English & Arabic communication skills (both written and spoken)
- Willingness to learn & grow and ability to adopt to AkzoNobel’s working environment.
- Command on Microsoft Office Suit (Word, Excel, Power Point)
- A reasonable understanding of diversity and readiness to work in inclusive and diverse teams
