Qualifications

•       Bachelor’s degree in engineering (mechanical, chemical engineering or equivalent), MBA degree is preferred,

•       10 years of experience in manufacturing environment with a minimum 5-year team management experience,

•       Excellent communication & Leadership skills,

•       Experience in Lean Manufacturing & 6 Sigma methods (Preferably certified Green or Black Belt),

•       Knowledge on batch processes, Process Safety, Change Management,

•       An analytical mind with HSE, customer and result orientation,

•       Supply Chain & Planning and Warehouse Management experience,

•       Knowledge on financial concept, budgeting and P&L,

•       Able to operate in a cross-cultural and complex matrix environment,

•       Project management experience.

Job Description

•       Reporting to Site Manager, manage and control production processes including Manufacturing, Filling, RM&PM Warehouses and in site logistics.

•       Maintain highest standards of safety, quality and productivity on the production shop floor.

•       Deliver KPI’s in safety, quality, delivery and cost through execution of key projects, programs through engaging the team.

•       Assuming responsibility for the production budgets both OPEX and CAPEX.

•       Demonstrating an example as a lean leader for eliminating waste, promoting continuous improvement mindset and deeply embedding AkzoNobel Leading Performance System in all areas of production.

•       Ensuring that AkzoNobel Safety, Health and Environment guidelines are implemented both in Occupational and Process Safety.

•       Ensure compliance to legal, technical and quality standards, customer requirements.

•       Liaising among different departments, e.g. Suppliers, Planning, Quality, Supply Chain, Maintenance, Safety Healthy Environment, Marketing and Lean Managers.

•       Take a key role in plant management team to deliver value to business through manufacturing operations.

•       Define development & engagement plan for production team to create efficient and motivated team.

•       Plan and execute strategical and technological investments in accordance with AkzoNobel Company Strategy and Global Project & Engineering Center and Local Engineering Department.

•       Commitment of annual / seasonal capacity of plant with Regional Planning Team, Optimize capacity utilization and short-term production scheduling.

•       Contribution to asset maintenance planning & execution activities.
