Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business or related field,
  • Master’s Degree and/or Procurement accreditation will be an asset,
  • +7 years of experience in a local purchasing role with an international understanding,
  • Excellent communication, problem solving, project and time management, team working/building, presenting and interpersonal skills,
  • Self-starter, great communicator and able to influence others,
  • Sustainable in result orientation, ambassador of cultural change,
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English.

Job Description

  • Implementing the sourcing strategy on site, country or regional level.
  • Communicating the local requirements to regional or global sourcing teams and suppliers.
  • Drive cost savings initiatives to support the Turkish business.
  • Delivering Procurement projects as well as cross functional projects on-time in-full.
  • Identifying opportunities for process optimization, efficiency gains, and best practices implementation within the procurement function.
  • Driving proactively and supporting the price change management for material requirements in their geographical scope, including creation or maintenance requests for purchasing info-records (for new and existing materials).
  • Interacting with local stakeholders at site: Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality, RD&I, Local Commercial Organization.
  • Acting as the first escalation interface to handle site related supplier issues and seeks to resolve the majority of the issues raised or decide to escalate immediately if local resolution is not possible,
  • Driving local change management with regards to QDCIS projects, supports and drives Value Engineering savings projects locally.
  • Identifying opportunities and contributing to and leads local projects, aiming to optimize MoQ, ordering volumes, lead times, payment terms etc.
  • Managing local, plant specific suppliers and related SLAs.
  • Conducting commercial negotiations and manages relationships with suppliers managed by the regional procurement organization (if delegated by a Sourcing Director), including all sourcing activities, supplier selection, contracting and pricing and terms.
