Local IT Officer

Qualifications

This role is based at AkzoNobel site Dilovasi, covering multiple AkzoNobel sites in Turkey.

The purpose of the Local IT Officer (LITO) is to be the “local owner” of IT services and issues in his/her geographical area. This encompasses active IT support to local or regional questions and issues, incidents, and escalations. Active engagement to ensure local users are trained in IT solutions and aware of relevant IT updates. Active involvement in local security, financial management and asset management.

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant departments,
• 3+ years of experience the IT sector including managing IT services in a local country organization in a Global IM department,
• Strong understanding of the structure and setup of IT Services (End-to-End services), procedures and people in the Information Management departments
• Basic IT infrastructure knowledge on networking, firewalls, servers, workplace services,
• Strong Service management mindset,
• Able to see the whole picture and strategic objective (helicopter view) while focusing on the detail in terms of operational and tactical issues,
• Knowledge of best practice for shared solutions and a commitment to Continuous Improvement and optimization through collaboration and Lean Six Sigma tools,
• Knowledge and experience of project management, as well as organizational skills,
• The credibility necessary to influence internal and external parties and to gain acceptance by local management,
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills including fluent written and spoken English, Turkish,
• Able and willing to travel in country or overseas where required.

Job Description

Ensure the efficient use of IT tools and systems by local users

Proactively improve end user productivity across the whole organization by optimizing the end user experience. This requires to train and guide users in the proper and efficient use of tools.

Also connect end users to process coaches and IT processes, supporting AkzoNobel users in utilizing the IT processes and resources in the most effective manner.

Local customer satisfaction and improvements

Provide regular training sessions on global IT solutions. Actively scan training needs in local area and follow up on these needs.

Act at the local host for IT projects/rollouts, helping with kick-off sessions and providing input for local stakeholder management.

Ensure incident and problem management                                                                                           

Proactively monitor all IT incidents escalated by users in the local domain, work with partner escalation teams and our own Service Delivery team to ensure proper follow-up.

Asset Management  

Responsible correct inventory of IT assets in local area and you ensure accurate records of local hardware (workplaces, network infra) and software (local apps) are maintained.

Security  

Proactive collaboration with global security team and local OT team to drive local security improvements where needed.
