Are you a self-starter and results-driven hunter? Do you thrive on building strong customer relationships, uncovering new business opportunities, and providing expert technical support? If so, join our Protective Coatings division and be a key player in a high-performing sales team.
About the Role
As the Sales Representative, you'll be responsible for meeting sales and profitability targets within an assigned territory. You will grow existing accounts, generate new business, and deliver technical solutions across a range of industrial and protective coating applications. You will also support customers both in and outside of your core region.
Territory
Eastern Canada The ideal candidate is located in Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, or Quebec and must be able to travel 30–50% within Canada and occasionally in the USA.
Total Compensation - What's in it for you?
- Base Salary: $80,000 – $100,000 annually
- Performance Bonus: Up to 35% based on individual and corporate goals
- Vehicle Allowance: $800/month + mileage reimbursement

Key Responsibilities
- Manage a sales territory within the Protective Coatings division
- Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline using CRM tools
- Meet or exceed sales and profitability targets
- Provide technical support, product training, and on-site inspections
- Build strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders
- Resolve complex customer service issues and manage complaints
- Attend industry trade shows, seminars, and customer visits to explore emerging technologies
- Promote and uphold safety standards at all times, including use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
Decision-Making & Autonomy
- Identify and prioritize strategic clients and projects
- Set your own travel and customer engagement schedule
- Develop presentations, pricing strategies, and coating specifications
- Operate within defined business and operational guidelines
Job Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 2 years in the coatings industry (industrial or marine preferred), 5+ years in sales, customer service, or marketing
- Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred, NACE CIP Level 1 or 2 certification preferred (all may apply)
- Computer Skills: Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and CRM tools
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 50 lbs with ease, remain on your feet for extended periods, and safely perform work at heights and in confined spaces in compliance with all safety protocols.
- Language Skills: Strong English communication skills; French bilingualism is an asset
- Travel & Schedule: Flexible schedule, including nights/weekends as needed. Willingness to travel 30–50% within Canada and occasionally to the USA.
