Job Purpose
- Inbound materials planning to ensure short and long term sales requirements are supported, by sound and achievable decision making.
- Strong relationship building with key stakeholders 🡪 procurement, external suppliers, manufacturing, demand planning.
- Ensure planning process optimizes materials availability to achieve customer service metrics (OTIF) whilst maximizing inventory turns and minimizing costs (OWC & SLOB management).
- Support local customs clearance process of inbound materials.
Responsibilities
Planning:
- Analysis of demand for translation to purchase plan for locally sourced and imported materials.
- Plan materials with an understanding of balancing cost and customer service.
- Analysis to correct and prevent over/under stocking 🡪 short and long-term inventory planning, out of stock management.
- Manage reduction and prevention of slow and obsolete stock, including phase out and phase in.
- Maintain materials delivery schedule with suppliers per requirements.
- Analysis of supplier performance for corrective and preventative actions on service failures 🡪 drive improvement plans.
- Balance replenishment with an understanding of site warehouse capacity.
- Takes ownership for continuous improvement and performance management processes.
- Co-ordinate customs clearance process with relevant parties.
SAP experience:
- MRP for analysis of nett requirements.
- Create purchase orders
- Maintenance of purchase orders reflecting the reality of the replenishment plan.
- Manage MRP exceptions daily/ weekly
- Analysis of material shortages for resolution.
Continuous improvement:
- Data management: review and maintenance of master data in accordance with inventory replenishment policies & MRP parameters i.e. ABCXYZ segmentation, lead times, safety stock levels etc…
- Support implementation of respective continuous improvement projects.
Role Requirements
- University Graduate in relevant field
- Minimum 4 years experience, in FMCG Supply planning.
- Experienced with SAP ECC-PP
- Understanding of production planning and inter-dependencies with Material Planning.
- Experience in local customs clearance process.
- Microsoft: Outlook & Excel
