We are looking for a Accounts Payable Team Lead to work in our Mauá Plant on our GBS Structure.
Job Purpose:
The Accounts Payable Shared Services Manager is responsible for the highest quality services within the North America Accounts Payable Shared Service Center. Ensuring timely and accurate payment of all vendor invoices and the related internal/external accounting and reporting. Responsible for improvement and standardization of processes and development and reporting of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Coordinate accounts payable team (record supplier’s invoices to payment).
- Providing day-to-day direction, guidance, and management to the team
- Manage relationships with the internal business customers, vendors, and Finance team.
- Ensure proper recording of Accounts Payable transactions; provide Finance organizational support, including support to the R2R team on transaction processing issues, as identified, and with Treasury team for payments and payable settlements.
- Reviews existing processes, structures, and systems with a focus on simplifying and standardization
- Oversee analysis of vendor invoices to provide for accurate classification of expenses.
- Vendor related functions including vendor inquiries, wire and payment communication
- Review outstanding invoices in process and work with AP staff, business and outsourced service provider to resolve open issues.
- Oversee month-end close activities, including proper cut-off and account reconciliation preparation;
- Maintain calendars related to payments and payment communications
- Create and maintain vendor accounts
- Ensure adherence to applicable sourcing policies such as payment terms
- Maintain framework to ensure AP compliance with regulations and internal control objectives
- Ensure that compliance, contractual obligations and legal requirement
- Maintain and execute the AP performance metrics, including the global KPI’s.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Administration or similar field
- 5+ years experience in Purchasing or Accounts payable
- 3+ years experience direct people managing, preference of mentoring on and offshore staff
- Experience of working in a shared service center P2P environment which includes outsourced service providers
- Proven ability to direct accounts payable and related disbursement processes
- Advanced knowledge in English and Spanish.
