POSITION TITLE: Account Manager

SALARY: $128,170/yr.
HOURS: Full Time/40 hours
JOB DUTIES: This is a sales position that supports a high revenue customer base. Support sales, customer service, and technical teams, ensuring high service levels and operational efficiency. Steward new business development projects to align with account requirements, fostering growth and innovation. Develop contact maps within each account to support continuous improvement across the organization and collaborate with cross-functional teams to prioritize new developments and plan trials. Develop and maintain relationships with existing and potential customers within the designated field territory, identifying their needs and recommending appropriate products or services. Conduct sales presentations and product demonstrations, negotiate terms, and close sales to meet or exceed targets. Provide regular updates on sales activities, customer feedback, and market trends, and assist customers with inquiries or issues. Develop and execute account plans aligned with regional and global strategies and develop relevant commercial pipeline.
Position will visit customers within assigned territory.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or related technical degree and 6 years of progressive experience in an Account Management role in a B2B industry environment within the paints and coatings industry.
Applicants must have demonstrated experience with:
1) 6 years of experience in sales to strategic accounts.
2) project management.
3) developing comprehensive sales strategies for accounts.
4) conducting business reviews to ensure that business targets are met.
5) preparing sales presentations, contracts and proposals.
6) identifying new business opportunities and determining existing or potential obstacles.
7) cross-functional processes and financial concepts related to sales and cost to serve.
