Job Purpose
The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all inventory and logistics operations at the Clearwater site, including procurement coordination, inbound receipt, proper storage, outbound shipping, and inventory accuracy. This role ensures product quality, supports cycle counting and physical inventories, and safeguards AkzoNobel business principles while maintaining full compliance with HSE, DOT, and company safety standards.
The Warehouse Supervisor leads shipping and receiving activities, manages logistics costs within the 4PL program, and coordinates closely with Production, Procurement, R&D, Quality, Customer Service, Sales, and Finance to support efficient operations. The role actively participates in site safety programs and ensures adherence to HSE requirements, Life Saving Rules, product stewardship, waste management, and distribution safety practices.
Job Responsibilities
Raw Materials
- Setting up raw materials in SAP as approved by SM, HSES, & R&D
- Managing Procurement for raw materials and supplies
- Long-term planning for raw materials (Bulk, Imported, Off-site storage)
- Managing in-bound raw material receipt & storage (1 person)
- Cycle Counting & Inventory management for Raw materials
- Communication with CLX regarding inbound issues, approval of total freight charges.
- Knowledge resource to Production /Operations for material status as needed
Finished Goods
- Cycle Counting & Inventory management for Finished Goods
- Managing out-bound Finished Goods Team and Process (2 to 3 people)
- Tracking & Communicating issues with back order
Production / Operational Support
- Back-up to Production Manager
- HSES Support for functional area
Level of Autonomy
- Position may make decisions regarding material movement into and out of the facility.
- Position reviews system entries for accuracy and updates as necessary.
- Updates and publishes reports on critical KPi and customer metrics.
- Authorized and expected to maintain accurate inventory records.
Job Requirements
- High school diploma with 3–5 years of relevant warehouse, logistics, or inventory experience
- Strong commitment to leading and enforcing safe work practices
- Solid organizational skills with the ability to maintain accurate records and manage multiple priorities
- Effective oral and written communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with others
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and email; SAP experience preferred but not required
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and accountable, with a positive attitude and sound decision-making skills
Total Compensation
- The salary range for these skills is $72,000 to $84,000 + a 5% annual bonus.
