Job Purpose
• The role is the ambassador of the customer at the site.
• The role leads the site quality function and support in delivering the business objectives and goals.
• the role is to apply an appropriate level of product and process oversight to ensure product quality and process robustness. Performs the technical due diligence in evaluation phase to approve the appropriate external suppliers.
• Aligns with the RDI organization for manufacturing process design during early-stage development and Acts as the manufacturing representative.
• The role leads the Quality Self Improvement program and facilitates customer & certification audits.
• The role establishes and maintains a quality management system (QMS) which is tailored to the specific site needs as well as to AkzoNobel (AN) and regulatory requirements.
• The role is to involved in site MOC and approves changes which impact product quality.
Key Accountabilities
• Responsible for the overall quality control aspects of raw materials, in-process and finished products.
• Sets quality standards and ensure compliance to the AkzoNobel Standards and guidelines.
• Sites will exclusively produce and release product based on approved standards.
• Upon site specific quality issues, the SQM facilitates the RCA (though not necessarily leading it), contains the risks and ensures notification. As complex site, the SQM consults the RQM.
• Customer complaint investigation, work closely with solution labs and QA to ensure all the customers’ quality requirements were controlled.
• Response to customers on justified complaints is detailed with standard reply form and on time.
• Corrective actions are assigned, effective and completed on time.
• Complaint management is effective and conducted in line with standard procedure.
• Training & competence needs are assessed along with HR at least annually, planned & documented & used for staff development planning.
• Ensuring that processes needed for the Quality Management system is established, implemented and maintained according to the requirements of AkzoNobel Quality Management system.
• Regularly assessed of quality issues and compliance with legal requirements, and to determine whether or not the Quality Management System conform to the planned arrangements for the requirements of ISO 9001.
• Ensure and adhere to the Company policies/guidelines at all times.
• Manage the hazards by responding effectively to the hazards in HSE&S, collaborate in delivering site HSE&S, Process Safety Management improvement plan.

Experience
• Bachelor degree or above with Chemistry related.
• Good at oral and writing in English.
• More than 10 years working experience in quality role.
• Coating & painting technology and coating & painting production process.
• Good analytical, problem solving, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Familiar with ISO9001, preferably with Leader Auditor certification
• Knowledge in ISO/ TS16949 and its five core tools such as SPC, FMEA & MSA is preferable.
• Knowledge in AS9001 is a plus
• Result orientation.
• Big team management preferred
• Project management preferred.
