Process & Project Engineer

Job Purpose

Process improvements/Optimization and standardization.

• Advise production, maintenance, QC, R&D and planning to realize process improvements.
• Drive opportunities for improvement of process safety, process quality and process efficiency and Process Bluebook implementation in the workshop.
• Provide technical service related to production process
• Motivate, train and coach operational personnel
• Find opportunities in technical / productivity / quality, improve process parameter and implement optimize process with MOC
• Drive change for improvement of process safety, process quality and process efficiency and Process Bluebook implementation in the workshop

Product relocation and product development

• Review safety, quality and production feasibility for new products and select equipment for new products in cooperation with planning and production

• Responsible for process technology assessment, process design and development, scale-up from pilot plant to production scale, and provide onsite process technology support to production.
• Work with relative team (local or foreign members) to coordinator all factors to ensure transfer successfully.

Process engineering for investment projects

• Conduct feasibility studies, process technology assessments, and process design for investment projects
• Support new equipment evaluation and installation

• Coordinate with Maintenance Department on new equipment evaluation, installation and new SOP Design
• Prepare, Review and Approve technical documents necessary for the above responsibilities

Interface with the RD&I to define the new product manufacture process and continuous optimize the coating manufacture technical process;

• Take the role in scale up process in manufacturing.
• Define the manufacturing process after scale-up process.
• Initiate the new material MOC according to the project needs.
• Follow up manufacture process issues, conduct root cause investigation, working with RD&I to optimize the technical process.

Support Hub for additional task.

• Support hub sites to do some assign project to improve the quality or productivity.
• Support hub director to finish some daily report

Key Accountabilities

• Demonstrates successful application of process scaling from bench to pilot plant, to manufacturing environment.
• Applies fundamentals of analysis, design and resolution of process development problems.
• Applies innovative solutions to process requirement through use of various technologies to enhance competitive advantage.
• Recognizes the fundamental role of equipment and process control plays in designing reliable processes, including the concept of critical control points.
• Effectively communicates technical topics to various audiences and cross-functional project teams to influence decisions.
• Effectively utilizes networking relationships internally and externally to acquire and apply technical knowledge and expertise.

Can work with people in different teams, levels and functions of the organization, and across different culture. 

Experience

• Have considerable knowledge of coating formulations, especially for experience on milling machine research.
• Good knowledge and experience in paint / coating production process and equipment;
• Ability to challenge with feedback to other functions when scale-up / process optimization.
• At least 3 years of process technical experience in paint manufacturing in R&D, QA or production functions.
• Proficient in both English and Mandarin
