ISC Site Controller East China

Job Purpose

The Site controller acts as a Finance Business Partnering to the site managers in his/her cluster and helps delivering on the Manufacturing, Supply chain & Site strategy, directly and with the support of his/her team of manufacturing controllers located across the region.

As a member of the regional ISC Finance team, develops and operationalizes the Regional ISC Finance organization in close alignment with global ISC controllers, and the other finance functional towers (Commercial Control, FP&A and Finance Operations/GBS).

Supports the Regional Supply Chain controller in local implementation of regional SC projects and initiatives and support the IBP process which includes also the necessary linkages to commercial finance counterparts.

Key Accountabilities

• Develops, delivers relevant financial analyses that enable and drive performance management of ISC operations in scope, by leveraging local and regional FPA counterparts and central and regional ISC counterparts.

• Manages an efficient and effective, accurate and timely financial reporting and planning cycle for the cluster ISC organization, including both Manufacturing, SC and local procurement. This includes amongst others the accurate and up to date product costing, FMC & logistical cost control and planning, OWC (Inventories & Suppliers) management, Capex planning.

• Ensures accounting/reporting for ISC operations in scope are in line with FEM, aligns with Finance Operations where needed.

• Expert at understanding the operations of the ISC operations and responsible for driving optimized financial result by using its insights to contribute to the decision making by the ISC operations.

• Specialized in determining and implementing the manufacturing optimization opportunities.

• Contributes to the strategic and tactical decision making from the financial and economic perspective.

• Support the implementation of IBP as main planning process within ISC, with a focus on Manufacturing.

• Partners with the regional SC Controller, colleague (cluster) manufacturing Controllers and regional ISC leaders in the execution of the IBP implementation effort.

• Support site capex investment projects, collaborate with site engineering and other finance towers to delivery a solid financial plan. Also take lead to perform the post implementation review and follow up on gap closing actions.

• Specialized in production costing, including manufacturing process, internal specialist for production costing, provide coaching to other navigators when needed.

Experience

• Bachelor/Master’s degree in economics, accounting, business administration or equivalent
• 10+ years of experience in multiple finance positions in an industrial/manufacturing environment (this very much depends on the site and the profile of the candidate)
• Independent, self-starting and interested in what is behind the numbers
• Highly analytical, with problem-solving and pragmatic skills
• Change and continuous improvement minded, hands-on with a can-do mentality.
• Able to communicate effectively with site management and others on site.
• Strong team player with good interpersonal skills
• Fluent in English, both verbal as well as in writing
• High proficiency in SAP and other business applications
