CI & Process engineering Manager

Job Purpose

The CI & Process engineering Manager is responsible for developing, championing, and sustaining a culture of continuous    improvement (CI) and knowledge about related methodologies/activities (Lean, Six Sigma, ALPS) across all areas of the entity in scope with a strong focus on functional excellence.

The end-purpose is to deliver sustained improvement in both process maturity and performance of the key performance indicators (e.g., safety, service delivery, productivity, customer service and people engagement.) of the site.

The CI & Process engineering Manager is actively involved in setting up and establishing a support structure to develop CI capabilities and mindset with guidance from the functional excellence teams - thus acting as an agent for change. Build organizational capabilities.

• Continuously improve performance and create ownership in the organization
• Drive and manage the improvement portfolio
• Lead and support the ALPS deployment and make it sustainable.

Key Accountabilities

1. ALPS Deployment (50%)

• Lead the local ALPS implementation and building organizational capabilities with respect to CI and ongoing problem solving within the team.

• Support and coach teams in the application of improvement methodologies/ activities (Lean, Six Sigma, ALPS) across all areas of the operation.

• Drive and manage the Improvement Portfolio including the validation of new improvement opportunities and tracking of progress and benefits to support the strategic goals of the entity in scope.

• Provide analytical skills to support targeted process improvements resulting in productivity, operational and financial improvements.

• Network within the AkzoNobel CI community and share insights, problems, and opportunities to promote improved performance and problem-solving.

• Using networks to identify potential areas of good practice and lead the effort in reapplying these within their entity in scope.

2. Process Engineering (50%)

• To perform the engineering project for building construction, capital equipment, production process and utility to ensure plant operations.

实施各类工艺工程项目，包括资本设备、生产工艺和公用设施等，以确保工厂正常运营。

• To provide engineering service to production, equipment maintenance, and communication with all labs.

为生产部门和维修部门提供工艺工程服务，同时与研发团队保持有效沟通。

• To track and optimize productive process and improve the formula accuracy.

跟踪和优化生产流程，提高配方精度。

• Analyze and document technic & process parameter.

对技术、工艺参数进行整理、分析及归档。

• Provide the correct solution and preventive measures for the abnormal situation in production.

针对制程过程出现的异常，提出整改方案和预防措施。

• Solve the abnormalities, reduce defective products, improve production efficiency.

解决异常，降低不良品的产生，提高生产效率。

• Provide support to maintenance for asset integrity management e.g., identify critical equipment and make protective maintenance plan.

             支持维修进行资产设备完整性管理，如关键设备识别及制定预防性维修保养计划。

Experience

• Bachelor or above level qualification in Chemistry or Process Engineering.

             本科或以上学历，化工或工业工程相关专业为佳。

• Has solid CI knowledge and experience in manufacturing industry.

具备丰富的持续改善知识，有在制造业推行持续改善项目的实践经验。

• More than 3 years working experience in coatings.

             三年以上涂料行业工作经验。

• Familiar with the coating production processes and equipment as well as Quality & Performance improvement processes.

            熟悉涂料生产流程及设备，熟悉质量性能改进流程。

• Ability to effectively facilitate projects cross functional departments and meet the project requirements.

能有效推动跨职能部门的项目工作，达到项目要求。

• Works earnestly and carefully and teamwork spirit.

             工作认真负责，具有团队合作精神。

• Excellent English skills.

             英语听说读写优秀。
